About

When others are satisfied with mediocrity, DJ Drizzle aims for perfection. Drizzle knew at an early age that he had an ability to influence a party, and he used that ability to create a successful brand for himself. “I started DJing in middle school,” Drizzle tells the story of his humble beginnings. “My uncle was the biggest DJ and promoter in the city at the time, so I looked up to him.” In high school, Drizzle became the go-to-guy for playing the hits. When other DJs were being hired to spin by promoters, Drizzle was busy throwing his own parties and was on his way to bigger and better things.

Though he took time off from DJing to play college football , he always returned to what he did best! It wasn’t long before people took notice and named him “Cincinnati’s Official Street DJ.” Branching out from the college party scene, Drizzle began working hands on with the artist. “I opened a studio and start doing mixtapes with local artists.” “The mixtapes earned me a state-to-state reconition.” Known for putting out nearly 3,000 tapes a month. Drizzle worked with both Midwest and national artist. He’s assisted the careers of Midwest natives like Khadijah, LoFat, and Blackjack, as well as played a part in breaking names like Money Jay (Konvict), JW (CTE), J Futuristic (Universal), Jarvis (DTP), Rasheeda, Gorilla Zoe, Young Chris, Mo Pain, YG, Rosco Dash, Cali Swag District and Mishon just to name a few.

Along with his club and mixtapes, Drizzle has now earned a mixing spot on Blazin 92.3 (Macon) while still mixing on various radio stations such as 88.3 FM, 101.1 Wiz(Cincinnati) , FOXE 105(Columbus, GA) and 103 The JAMZ (Augusta). When it comes to the style that makes him popular, Drizzle explains, “I break the new music they don’t hear all the time on radio. I mix in what I think is going be hot a few months later.” By being a trendsetter, and filtering in southern music that people relate to, he became an integral part of the national music scene.

In 2008, DJ Drizzle was inducted into the Hittmenn DJs crew, where he works side by side with Kaspa, the association’s President. As a Hittmenn DJ. Drizzle strengthened his stamp of approval, and gained more nationwide recognition. He obtained countless accolades, such as appearances in publications like OZONE, The Leak, Fushion, Tru Color, City Beat, Boss, Street Fame, 24/7, Makin It Magazine and several others. Alongside his press endorsements, he also won 3rd Finger Record Pool’s DJ of the Month, Hittmen DJ of the month 6 times, received numerous Ohio Hip Hop Awards nominations, and established his own website GotDrizzle.com

Drizzle has expanded his resume to include A&R and promotions. His first client was Cincinnati-based label Ameer Records and their artist Young Dunny. Which was followed by Beat Gang and Hush Money’s CJ Platinum. He took them from local artist to having national attention. Including remixes with accomplished artist such as Young Buck, Mista Fab, Young Dose, Louisiana Cash, Charlie Boi, and Young Ralph. Drizzle now consults for multiple labels from Cleveland all the way down to Florida, putting together major tours, promotions, radio play, and meetings with record executives in NY, Atlanta, and LA.

As an overachiever, Drizzle knows there’s more ground to cover in his worldwide quest as a DJ, and overall power player in the music business. While strategizing his next move, Drizzle always has a higher level in mind, not only for himself, but also for others. “I want to get more talent out of the Midwest that often gets overlooked,” he concludes. “Seeing an artist start from scratch and succeed really motivates me.” With the world at his fingertips the sky is the limit for DJ Drizzle, and there is much more to come.
